Devil’s Tear Nusa Lembongan
Devil’s Tear A rocky outcrop on the south western coast. Spectacular crashing waves and water plumes. Massive waves break onto a narrow niche on a limestone cliff, producing a dramatic swash with a merciless, thundering sound. A thin wisp of ocean spray dampens everything on the shore. Devil’s tears, aptly named for its daunting showcase of Mother Nature’s raw power on the eastern shore of Nusa Lembongan, is violently beautiful.
Witness the power and majesty of the ocean and its tides at Devil’s Tears Nusa Lembongan. The natural landmark gains its name from the ocean spray thrown out from a cave in the cliff face as each wave hits. An attractive place for couples and families, this coastal feature remains largely unknown among tourists, so it offers unspoiled views and a relaxing atmosphere.
Find your spot on the rocks at this dynamic stretch of coastline, but be careful where you put your feet–some rocks are jagged. Also, don’t underestimate the strength of the waves here–they can be very strong. If you time your arrival for low tide, the cave at the eastern end of the beach may be accessible.
